Review: Origins Eye Doctor

Everyone always says its important to have a skincare routine even if you're young, because the better you treat your skin now the better it will treat you later! That's why I turned to Origins Eye Doctor to treat the area around my eyes.

I'm lucky as I don't really suffer from dark under eye circles or puffiness but I do use this every night in the hopes that this will prevent any future problems.

I love using this because it has a cucumber scent that I love! It sinks in pretty quickly and leaves the area around my eyes feeling moisturized, and the scent gives me a feeling of "freshness" around my eyes...I definitely can't be the only one who wants to experience freshness under my eyes, can I?!

This Origins product is said to "counter crow's feet, de-pouf puffs, and fade dark shadows," it is lightweight and absorbs quickly so you can get right on with the rest of your routine! I generally only use this at night along with the rest of my routine but I do sometimes use it in the mornings if I feel like my eyes need a little boost!

Review: Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins

Its no secret that I am an Origins junkie! I tried the brand after reading different reviews on a bunch of different products so I'm usually willing to dish out the cash to try something new.

This is no different, I've found another Origins product that I adore!

Origins High-Potency Night-A-Mins, $39.50

As someone with dry skin, this is my go-to moisturizer every night. This nighttime moisturizer seems thick at first but applies like a dream. It sinks into my skin rather quickly and I wake up every morning with a glowing face! It no longer looks dull or dry, and it was all fixed while I slept, what is better than that?!

It goes on smooth and evenly and just a little bit goes a long way meaning you don't need to repurchase this all that often. And the best part? It smells fabulous!

Review: Origins Never A Dull Moment Cleanser

 

 After reviewing the Origins Checks and Balances Cleanser I realized I haven't done a proper review on my favorite Origins cleanser! Low and behold, here it is!

Origins Never A Dull Moment Skin-brightening Face Cleanser With Fruit Extracts 

The reason I love this cleanser is because it removes all my makeup (well...my eyes usually need a little help) but it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry. I use this once a day, every night and my skin feels squeaky clean but not stripped of its natural oil...which is very important to me as dry skin is one of my biggest issues.

In fact, this cleanser paired with my Clarisonic has had tremendous results for my skin. It was left feeling clean and glowing, which means I just had to pop on my regular nighttime go-tos and I would wake up with great looking skin!

I think the reason this is my number one cleanser is simply because it makes my skin feel good. Not dry. Not oily. But just perfect! It also smells divine which is an added bonus, but not to the point that it irritates my sensitive skin.

Review: Clarisonic Mia

 I have been waiting so long to write this review, so I apologize for its lengthiness but its worth it!

 

I know so many people who SWEAR by these Clarisonic cleaners (Sephora, $125) but I was really skeptical at first for a variety of reasons. First, the price tag. Although $125 does seem a little crazy for some kind of skincare gadget, I realized that spending that much on something that you could essentially use for quite a few years isn't THAT bad. But the other thing that put me off was this so called "purging" phase the skin goes through. I already hate my skin the last thing I need is to make it worse on purpose.

 

But I gave in. I was getting hopeless and thought this could be a great thing for my skin if I let it do its job. Fast forward almost a year later and I can definitely say I am on the Clarisonic bandwagon.

I should probably say that I never really had terrible skin. I had the occasional breakout but I was suffering from dry patches across my face and even though I spent good money on my foundation and skincare products it was all a waste because my skin itself wasn't perfect! But this Clarisonic has really transformed my skin. I no longer suffer from my dry patches and although I still experience redness (I was never diagnosed with rosacea but it could be...who knows) my skin is no way irritated when I use this!

 

 I went weeks before noticing a difference so you definitely cannot think you've wasted your money! I promise this is a good investment. Its not necessary to buy any other Clarisonic besides the Mia (unless you want to spend the money) and for someone with sensitive skin I am very happy with the sensitive brush head that comes with it. I didn't experience a "purge" so you can say I am quite a lucky gal! And once you use this you will never go back to washing your face any other way. This leaves your skin feeling super clean and you'll even notice how clean it looks after using it, it really gets down into the pores without causing irritation.

 

I only use this once a day, and I prefer at night before I go to bed. You do need to charge it every once in a while but it really isn't an issue considering you get plenty of life out of it. The only thing is to make sure you take the brush head off the actual Clarisonic so it can properly dry. After a few weeks it will become routine and you will be VERY glad you made this purchase.

Review: Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

I've been meaning to do a post on this for quite some time now. I've always loved Origins products, so when I ran out of my old Never A Dull Moment cleanser I decided I would give this one a go because I read such rave reviews about it.

 

Origins Checks And Balances Frothy Face Wash

This cleanser will help balance out the oily and dry areas of skin by cleansing both areas without cancelling each other out. It is said to be great for all skin types, and features ingredients like bergamot, spearmint, and lavender.

The broad leaf kelp extract discourages excess oil production while wheat protein balances and protects dry-prone zones. Tourmaline makes water wetter to more easily disperse dirt and sebum down the drain.

Although I loved washing my face with this, I don't think this is the right product for my dry skin. Depending on the time of year, I can be a mix of oily and dry but for the most part I suffer from dry skin and this wasn't my solution.

Not all is lost though, if you have oily or combination skin I think this would be a great purchase. And it is very frothy, so if you are like me and usually need to use a frothy cleanser in order to feel clean than this is perfect for you! And you really only need a little bit so this would go a long way. As for me, I will be going back to my favorite Never A Dull Moment cleanser!

Review: Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

I've had this mask for a few months now and I love it so much that I had to share.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask, $23

If you suffer from dry patches, like me, then this what you need! This is an ultra-rich, hydrating overnight mask and perfect for those who suffer from dry skin. The formula contains avocado and apricot kernel oils to deeply and instantly hydrate the skin, while Japanese seaweed helps to repair skin's barrier to prevent future dehydration and signs of premature aging.

I love this mask because you can really feel it soaking into your skin. Because this mask is so thick I suggest only applying this at night - well before you go to sleep to give it some time to absorb into the skin.

I used to apply this twice a week but as my skin gets dry in the winter I have started to apply it 3 times a week.
