What you need: a nail polish remover, 4 sided buffer, nail polish, top coat, base coat, nail file, cuticle remover & cuticle pusher.
First, remove any polish from your nails.
As much as I hate it, I always file my nails. Filing your nails allows you to keep them short, preventing breakages, and you can choose whether you want them square or rounded.
Then I take this four sided nail buffer to buff my nails before painting. You can get these almost anywhere and they can be relatively cheap. I high suggest getting one!
Begin with your base coat, I used Sally Hansen Diamond Strength Hardener.
Take your polish color and begin painting! I'm using Julep's Nora, which is an awesome matte shade.
I always do at least two coats on my nails at all times, no matter what the polish.
Before jumping onto your top coat, I usually use a Q-tip to go around the edges and clean up any mess that I made. I either have really good days where my nails look flawless or I have really, really bad days where they look like I did them in the dark! Today was one of those "in the dark" days.
Then use your top coat, this is Julep's Matte Top Coat.
You are done! And now you should have fabulous nails!
